Ismaïla Sarr’s move to Liverpool remains uncertain. According to information reported by Senego, Crystal Palace have rejected a second offer from the Reds and reportedly set a price of £75 million, valued at around €88 million.

This position is attributed to journalist Santi Aouna. A previous Liverpool offer was estimated at around €58 million, according to the published information. The Merseyside club will therefore have to increase its bid if it is to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace.

The player reportedly prefers Liverpool

Ismaïla Sarr reportedly wants to join Liverpool before the transfer window closes. Galatasaray have also reportedly shown interest, but the Senegal international is said to have chosen Anfield as his destination.

Fabrice Hawkins, an RMC Sport journalist quoted by Senego, said that the player did not train on Monday as he seeks to secure his departure. He is also reported to have made it known that he no longer wants to play in Crystal Palace colours.

Crystal Palace stand firm

The Eagles want to keep their top scorer from last season, at the start of a league campaign marked by two defeats in two matches. The asking price may therefore be intended to deter Liverpool or, failing that, secure a significantly higher offer.

Liverpool must now decide whether to meet Crystal Palace’s reported demands or pursue another attacking option. According to Fabrice Hawkins, Cody Gakpo is expected to remain at the club if no alternative is found. The matter therefore remains open as the end of the transfer window approaches.
