Oussouye: Body found on Boucotte-Diémbéring beach
The body of a man was found on Tuesday, 1 September, on Boucotte-Diémbéring beach, about five kilometres from the Cap Skirring fishing pier. The remains were too badly decomposed to be identified and were buried at the site on the prosecutor's instructions.
The body of a male individual was found on Tuesday, 1 September, at around 11 a.m. on Boucotte-Diémbéring beach in the Oussouye department. The discovery site is located about five kilometres northwest of Cap Skirring.
According to a security source quoted by Le Soleil, the advanced state of decomposition of the remains made it impossible to identify the victim.
A coordinated response
Following the alert, a team bringing together officers from the Directorate for Fisheries Protection and Surveillance, members of the Local Artisanal Fisheries Council and firefighters went to the scene. The Cap Skirring gendarmerie brigade was also deployed.
The remains were then buried at the site, on the instructions of the public prosecutor attached to the Oussouye district court.

Cases of bodies found offshore or along the coast of the Diémbéring municipality are regularly reported at this time of year, which is marked by difficult weather conditions for navigation in the Atlantic Ocean.
