Rufisque: Passenger Found Dead on Tata Bus
A man aged about 50 was found dead on a Tata bus parked at the Djouti-bi roundabout in Rufisque. An autopsy and an investigation have been ordered to establish the exact circumstances of the death.
A passenger was found dead aboard a Tata bus parked at the Djouti-bi roundabout in Rufisque. The discovery was reported to the central police station by firefighters.
The victim, a man aged about 50, was seated in the third seat behind the driver. According to the information reported, he had boarded in Pikine to travel to Rufisque.
Illness reported during the journey
The driver’s assistant said he noticed palpitations in the passenger during the journey. When he asked how he was feeling, the man reportedly did not respond.
The passenger was then moved close to a window so that he could get some air. The assistant thought he was asleep. At the SONADIS terminus in Rufisque, all passengers got off except for the man. His death was confirmed when people approached him.
Autopsy and investigation ordered
Firefighters transported the body to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. The public prosecutor at the Rufisque High Court, Cheikh Diakhoumpa, ordered an investigation to determine the precise circumstances of the death.
