The 20-year-old lived in Parcelles Assainies de Diakhaye, where her relatives say they are overcome by grief and shock.
According to Senego, reporting remarks broadcast by RFM, the discovery came a few days before the Gamou celebrated last Tuesday. Family members are calling for justice for the victim.
A theory put forward by relatives
Ndeye Bigué Sène’s relatives have raised the theory of a ritual sacrifice. One family member said in particular that a charlatan had stabbed her twice and that the sacrifice had been carried out at the scene.
The same relative said that the young woman had sustained serious facial injuries, making her difficult to recognise. Her mother, Khady Diao, and other family members are calling for the full truth to be established in the case.
