National Police: Mame Seydou Ndour meets Turkish ambassador on YOG and cooperation
National Police Director-General Mame Seydou Ndour met with Türkiye’s ambassador to Senegal, Dilsad Kirbasli Karaoglu, on 28 August 2026. Turkish support for preparations for the Youth Olympic Games and stronger security cooperation were at the heart of the talks.
National Police Director-General, Inspector General of Police Mame Seydou Ndour, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Senegal, Dilsad Kirbasli Karaoglu, on Friday 28 August 2026. The meeting was held as a courtesy visit.
The diplomat praised relations between Senegal and Türkiye. She also commended the National Police for providing security at major religious and institutional events, notably the Magal, the Gamou and Independence Day celebrations.
YOG at the heart of the talks
Mame Seydou Ndour thanked Türkiye for its support to the National Police in preparations for the Youth Olympic Games. He expressed the wish to continue and intensify the partnership between the two sides in the field of security.
The meeting followed talks on 21 August 2026 between National Police Deputy Director-General Abdoul Wahab Sall and the Turkish ambassador on security cooperation and administrative facilitation.
An invitation for 29 October
The meeting concluded with an exchange of gifts. The ambassador invited the National Police Director-General to celebrations marking Türkiye’s Independence Day, scheduled for 29 October 2026.
