In Touba, Abib Diop hails mobilisation by Kiiraay women

Abib Diop, director-general of the Société africaine de raffinage (SAR) and coordinator of Kiiraay-Touba, expressed his satisfaction following a gathering of women from the movement in Touba. In a statement issued after the meeting, he described the mobilisation as a show of strength.

According to him, the presence of the activists reflects a commitment to responsibility and action. He highlighted the role he assigns to women in social and political dynamics, considering that their support conveys a message of hope for Kiiraay and for Senegal.

Declared support for Bassirou Diomaye Faye

The coordinator of Kiiraay-Touba renewed his support for President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He thanked the women who mobilised for backing this political direction.

Abib Diop also said that, if an election were held in Touba, the head of state would comfortably outpace his opponents there. He made this assessment during his remarks after the gathering.

Call for unity within the movement

The SAR director-general thanked the leaders, activists and supporters in attendance. He stressed the importance of unity, arguing that difficulties and obstacles should not divert the movement from its shared objectives.

Presenting the gathering as a new stage for Kiiraay in Touba, Abib Diop called on members of the movement to continue their work with discipline, commitment and determination. He recalled his motto: “Acta non verba” — deeds rather than words.
