Papa Ibrahima Senghor, described as the leader of KIIRAAY, travelled to Kaolack over the weekend as part of a grassroots outreach initiative. The stated aim was to meet residents in order to better take account of their concerns, expectations and aspirations.

During this stop, he said he held discussions with political leaders, dignitaries and several people described as community voices. According to him, those he met welcomed the initiative favourably.

Discussions on local expectations

Papa Ibrahima Senghor reported that the people he met offered prayers for the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, for Senegal and for the success of the mission entrusted to the SNR.

According to the KIIRAAY official, the visit forms part of an effort to strengthen ties with local communities. He highlighted a method built around four pillars: listening to citizens, explaining the project, bringing stakeholders together and taking action.

Continuation announced for next weekend

The KIIRAAY leader announced that the grassroots meetings would continue from the following weekend. He also plans to further present the KIIRAAY project and, together with officials and activists, begin implementing the circular issued by the President of the Republic, who is also the party's president.

Through this initiative, Papa Ibrahima Senghor said he aims to contribute to the development of the territory and, more broadly, of Senegal.
