Mafary Ndiaye has announced that he is joining Kiiraay – Les Patriotes républicains, after leaving the Republican Party for Progress (PRP), led by Déthié Fall. The decision marks a change of political affiliation for the Touba political figure, who is also a municipal councillor in the city and a departmental councillor in Mbacké.

According to his statement, relayed by several media outlets, he spent two years within the PRP. He said he made his decision after several consultations and reflection on the continuation of his political engagement.

A choice linked to his convictions

Mafary Ndiaye said that, in his view, his move to Kiiraay is in line with his convictions and with the vision he attributes to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He said he wants to help build a “better Senegal” alongside the other members of the party.

He also cited his discussions with Abibou Diop, managing director of the Société africaine de raffinage, among the factors that accompanied this stage of his reflection.

A new presidential party

Kiiraay – Les Patriotes républicains is presented as a presidential party. Dakaractu reports that the party was launched in Dakar on 25 July 2026. Mafary Ndiaye's membership therefore comes shortly after its launch, in the Mbacké department where he holds local elected mandates.
