ASP uniforms: Caporal Fall calls for contract details to be published
Caporal Fall welcomes the planned renewal of uniforms and jackets for Community Security Officers (ASP), while calling for clarification on the terms under which the contract was awarded. The former acting territorial controller for the Centre-West division links the issue to demands over officers’ living conditions.
Caporal Fall considers the initiative to renew the uniforms and jackets of Community Security Officers (ASP) to be positive. In a contribution published on 2 September 2026, he nevertheless believes that the operation must be accompanied by information on the use of public resources.
Questions over the award process
The former acting territorial controller for the Centre-West division is calling for details of the total value of the contract, whether a tender process was held, the company selected and the criteria that led to its selection.
He also questions whether this expenditure was included in the 2026 budget and in the ASP procurement plan. For Caporal Fall, these requests stem from a requirement for transparency and do not constitute an accusation.
Beyond the equipment
His contribution broadens the debate to the working and living conditions of ASP officers. In particular, he advocates an increase in allowances, the reinstatement of abolished bonuses and improved social support for officers.
According to him, modernising equipment must therefore go hand in hand with measures to improve the material and social situation of ASP officers.
