An entourage singled out

Serigne Modou Bara Dolly Mbacké has called on followers not to direct their criticism at Serigne Sidy Abdou Lahat Mbacké. In his view, greater attention should be focused on Sokhna Aïda Diallo in this controversy.

He also believes that leaders can be influenced or misled by their entourage. He referred to the existence of “lobbies” around Serigne Sidy, which he considers to be the source of the problem rather than the religious leader himself.

He said he was particularly struck by remarks made by Serigne Amsatou Mbacké in connection with the matter.

A body announced

In response to what he described as practices likely to spark tensions in Touba, Serigne Modou Bara Dolly Mbacké announced the creation of a body. This structure would be tasked with defending the holy city and combating such practices.
